There are about 90 resorts in Maldives and what I see is the whole year almost all the resorts are over booked. The Maldives government has given approval for 15 more new resorts which will be coming up in next 1-2 years.

There are about 90 resorts in Maldives and what I see is the whole year almost all the resorts are over booked. The Maldives government has given approval for 15 more new resorts which will be coming up in next 1-2 years. Two new resorts, Herathera Island Resort and Shangrilla are two new resorts in Maldives. Herathera has already started operation and Shangrilla is expected to start its operation by May 2008. Both the resorts are one the biggest and high standard resorts in Maldives
